Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 - Art. 7 (Right of access to personal data and other titles)

"1. The data subject is entitled to obtain the confirmation as to whether previously conveyed personal data have been processed and/or stored. The data subject is furthermore entitled to request copy of his/her processed personal data file.

2. The data subject is entitled to request information on:

a) personal data source;

b) data processing purpose and procedure;

c) software used, in case of data processing by means of electronic instruments;

d) data processing holder, data processing office manager and appointed representative pursuant to article 5, par. 2;

e) persons to whom personal data have been or may be disclosed as representatives appointed for the territory of Italy or as managers of the data processing office.

3. The data subject is entitled to obtain:
a) any update, amendment or, if applicable, integration of his/her personal data;

b) the deletion, establishment of an anonymous file or the block of his/her personal data in case of infringement of law provisions,
including data that do not require to be kept in the data processing holder's archives to fulfil the purpose that determined their collection and processing. />
c) a statement attesting that the actions as per points a) and b) above have been executed, if requested by the interested party, and that the results of such actions are made known to said interested party, unless the fulfilment of such obligation is declared impossible or exaggeratedly unproportionate in comparison with the safeguarded right of the interested party.

4. The data subject is entitled to refuse to give his/her consent to his/her personal data being processed, totally or in part:
a) on legitimate grounds;

b) to the purpose of mailing of advertising material, direct sales, market researches and surveys.
